The uncatchable generation, the elusive generation, the generation raised in chaos on bread and technology. Millennials have developed a very different mindset from previous generations.

What do we mean?
In this article we will tell you about BENEFIT COOL, IN PROGRESS MODE And CHIEF TRAINER.

Let's start with company benefits: a few years ago, cars and cell phones were included in the kit of "those that matter".
Today, according to Wired, benefits must offer exclusive experiences in the fields of food, art, fashion and sports. And it is precisely the experience that is the basis of the strategy development of Employer Branding designed by the Universitybox team.

How do we do it?
We have always combined those skills that in organizations tend to be functional and vertical on their objectives. At Universitybox we have created an exceptional Team composed of the Marketing, Communication and Human Resources expert. Thanks to this important asset, we are able to create projects in which to convey the branding value proposition of our clients. Take a look at our ambassador projects  Click here!

A piece of advice to all HRs: within your benefit policy, the MUST HAVE will be the item BENEFIT “COOL” and make sure to guarantee unique experiences 😉

Let's move on to the more mental approach: Millennials are set in the “IN PROGRESS”. It is the generation that has completely lost the concept of a permanent job, it is aware that day by day a piece of the journey is built, the result of which is a career path that does not fit into the usual standards.

What does it mean?
The Millennial is an entrepreneur of himself, this implies that work (whose commitment must be perfectly balanced with social life and leisure) composes the puzzle of his personal and exclusively his career. This is why in companies it is important that the brand accurately tells the internal values and anticipates to future collaborators the prospect of growth in their organization.
The storytelling, or rather truth telling This is what we recommend (and implement) for our clients: simplicity and transparency like Millennials.
Our very young people would not be able to tolerate the dissonance between what they are told and what they will actually find in the work environment, consistency is fundamental!

And the boss? Do today's bosses still pat each other on the back?
No pat on the back for Millennials, just saying "you're good" is not enough, they expect more!
New workers see in the boss a master, someone who shapes and trains, accepts inexperience and appreciates passion, someone who teaches you to get involved and take risks, who at a certain point “drops” you in the water to check if you can swim, but without looking away. Our young people make space in a complex environment by looking for new solutions to problems and very often produce new results, ideas that come between the procedures and the result obtained.
Yes, because company workflows can be managed very well by friendly technology, the added value is their brain, which is allergic to procedures and, on the contrary, appreciates working on projects and for objectives.
But where does the boss, oops… the teacher, fit into all this? Alongside them, determining the boundaries by which the young person then needs to feel measured and be reassured that what he is doing is right, the feedback It's another must have that the leaders of the future will have to have on their resume. We know what you're thinking! We've all done the apprenticeship and it can't be said that leaders have always been masters, and then until when do we have to accompany these young people hand in hand?

None of this is Millennials, you are asking the wrong questions, they are looking for answers and they are looking for them in those who have more experience and who they consider points of reference.
This is not a generation of insecure people, but rather children of organized chaos that has changed the paradigms for dealing with work, life and free time and for this reason they need well-trained guides!
