After telling you the Marketing strategies undertaken for KIA, today we want to delve into another collaboration that we are extremely proud of, that of non-profit marketing for Save the Children.
The organization, which has been fighting for over 100 years to save boys and girls at risk and guarantee them a future, has in fact launched the project “Volunteers for Education” with theaim to help of children and adolescents aged 9 to 17 years inlearning recovery And of motivation to study.
The project includes: to stand alongside permanently a volunteer, properly trained, to a single child/adolescent or to a small group of children/adolescents for online study support.
To find Volunteer tutorsSave the Children announced a competition and we, thanks to our experience in terms of communication and marketing towards university students, managed to take home first place.
But let's see specifically what Save the Children is and what were the strategies undertaken to help him achieve his goals.
Save the Children, a bit of history
Save the Children is one of the leading international non-governmental organizations, committed to protection of children's rights and more. Founded in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb, following the terrible conditions of children in Europe after the First World War, the organization promotes and protects the rights of children in over 122 countries around the world.
Save the Children works to ensure the necessary child care and their mothers, to promote education without discrimination, to fight poverty, to protect minors from all forms of exploitation and abuse, including domestic abuse, and to defend the rights of minors everywhere and in all circumstances.
To achieve these goals, the organization has adopted an approach that includes training, awareness raising, a code of conduct and procedures of reportThe ultimate goal is to put pressure on institutions and governments to ensure that they always put children's rights at the center of their policies.
Nonprofit Marketing: What activities have been undertaken for Save the Children?
After winning the competition that the Brand had called to find communication agencies that could develop a communication campaign integrated for the volunteer recruitment, we immediately started thinking about what the most effective communication strategies could be to achieve this goal.
In particular, we have decided to direct our communication efforts towards a DEM (Direct Email Marketing) campaign and towards a communication campaign on Social Media, aware of the fact that our community is made up exclusively of university students and, therefore, that social media were the most profitable channel.
Let's explore them together!
Direct Email Marketing
DEM is an online communication strategy that involves sending advertising emails to a list of selected recipients. This is a communication that is more focused on commercial and lead generation aspects than a newsletter and aims to generate new customers and maintain existing ones. Among its main advantages, we can highlight the fact that it has less frequent deadlines and is more oriented towards short-term results.
This marketing tactic is particularly suitable for businesses targeting university students, since its High customization and his direct approach They are highly appreciated by young people, who prefer less invasive and more tailored communication.
In this case, we sent our Community a series of messages to present the Save the Children project, to encourage the kids to become volunteers while explaining the benefits they would get from it.
In particular, those who became volunteers provided children and young people with the opportunity to have a tutor for three months and could use this as a testing ground for consolidate your teaching techniques and, in addition, he had the possibility of accessing extra training courses that he could include in his resume.
Social Media Marketing
Aware that the Social Media they are even more powerful means than emails (when you want to communicate with a young and youthful target) we have created numerous contents suitable for these platforms.
